ELTC Annual Summer Tournament 2020 - LAST 24 HOURS TO ENTER

Dear Member,

A quick reminder all entries need to be in by 23:59 on Wednesday 29th July.

Please note there will be NO compulsory days this year.

Please find attached details of the Annual tournament including how to enter using the on line booking system at

https://ealingtennis.mycourts.co.uk ENTRIES ARE STRICTLY ONLINE THIS YEAR.

Entries should be made by Wednesday 29th July for ALL EVENTS.

A summary of arrangements is as follows.

Events being run:
• Open Men’s Singles (Limit 32 players)
• Restricted Men’s Singles (#33 and below)
• Open Ladies Singles
• Open Men’s Doubles
• Open Ladies Doubles
• Open Mixed Doubles
• Restricted Mixed Doubles

The "Open” events are open to all adult players (inc full midweek members) and juniors over the age of 12 (subject to confirmation of suitability by the coaching team).

Due to the popular demand of the Ealing Summer Matchplay, we have decided to continue these in lieu of the handicap and Vets Events. Whilst we understand there will be some who will be disappointed by this decision, we felt this would enable the majority of the club to access competition as well as allow the tournament committee to focus on delivering a safe open tournament and finals day.

The Ealing Summer Match play will run until Saturday 19th September in the same format as it is currently running.

Those competing in the Singles Ladder will be asked to temporarily leave the ladder whilst they are in any Club Tournament event. Once they are knocked out, they can re-join the single ladder.

Members can play in both the club tournament and doubles ladder but can still choose to temporarily leave the ladder in order to manage their timetable and matches better.

This year the Finals Day is on Saturday 19th September.

Please do not leave it too late to enter.
Those unfamiliar with the online booking system should in particular read the details of how to do this in the attached document. Help can be given as is explained in the attachment, but we cannot guarantee we can help you if you leave it too close to the deadline.

Those familiar with the online booking system should click on "Tournaments" on the menu at the top of the homepage. Note for doubles only 1 player should enter and select an agreed partner from the members list. Members who need partners can leave the partner blank when entering.

If anyone needs a partner for any of the doubles events the tournament committee can arrange this.

If you have any queries please ask fellow members who have played in the tournament before or email the tournament committee at eltctournament@gmail.com
