Court booking arrangements from Monday 29th March

Dear Members,

I trust you are all looking forward to getting back on court a week on Monday (29th March).

As previously, ALL courts will need to be booked in advance, using the MyCourts online booking system. This will be open from Noon this coming Monday 22nd March and will take your bookings up to 7-days in advance.

Initially, bookings will be limited to the clay and tarmac courts but we are hopeful that the Dome will be permitted to open from 12th April and the grass courts will be open from mid/late-May.

Until then, we are expecting some court pressure. So initially, we will be putting the following arrangements in place in an attempt to try and fairly share court availability amongst Members:

* Members can book and play ONCE ONLY at peak times during the week from Monday-Friday (From 16:00 to 21.30), excluding the Wednesday Evening Social.

* Members can book and play ONCE ONLY at peak times over the weekend i.e. Saturday and Sunday (7.00 to 18:00), excluding Sunday Evening Team Training.

* Note: The above restrictions do not include formal coaching lessons or Cardio Tennis.

* Playing Guests to the Club will NOT be permitted at the present time.
This rule will be regularly reviewed, as restrictions are lifted.

* Members can only book and play in a maximum of 3 x 30-minute slots per day.

* We ask (but don't insist) that members play singles in 60-minute slots and doubles in 90-minute slots.

* Coaches will have their own restrictions in place to help ensure that the courts are distributed fairly.

As previously, ALL playing partners must be entered onto your online bookings. This requirement helps the Club to track court usage by Members and if needs be, trace them accordingly. If members do not include their playing partners at least 24 hours before the court booking time, your booking may well be cancelled by the Club.

We are following the LTA guidance to keep the Club a safe place to be. See link to LTA Website:

https://www.lta.org.uk/about-us/tennis-news/news-and-opinion/general-news/2020/march/coronavirus-covid-19---latest-advice/

Please remember in particular:

* Always try to keep a Social Distance from others.
* Arrive at the Club changed and ready to play.
* Bring your own water/drinks.
* The Clubhouse will be open only for access to the toilets if required. (Door Code is: 6161).

Thank you in anticipation of your following the above booking arrangements and safety guidelines, as we return to the courts.

We will send out further communications regarding coaching and organised tennis activities, in due course.

Best,
James
ETLC Club Manager
