Last Chance to Enter - ELTC Annual Summer Tournament 2023

ELTC Annual Summer Tournament 2023 - LAST CHANCE TO ENTER!

The entry closes tomorrow, Sunday 14th May 23:59!

We do have players looking for partners in various doubles events, so if you would like to play, please enter and we will do our best to match you up!!

Full details about this year’s tournaments below.

Dear Member,

Please find attached details of the Annual tournament including how to enter using the on line booking system at https://ealingtennis.mycourts.co.uk ENTRIES ARE STRICTLY ONLINE THIS YEAR.
Entries should be made by Sunday 14th May for ALL EVENTS.

So please do not leave it too late to enter. Those unfamiliar with the online booking system should in particular read the details of how to do this in the attached document. Help can be given as is explained in the attachment but we cannot guarantee we can help you if you leave it too close to the deadline.

Those familiar with the online booking system should click on "Tournaments" on the menu at the top of the homepage. Note for doubles only 1 player should enter and select an agreed partner from the members list. Members who need partners can leave the partner blank when entering.

A summary of arrangements is as follows;

The "Open” events are open to all adult players (inc full midweek members) and juniors over the age of 12 (subject to confirmation of suitability by the coaching team).

The "Handicap” events are designed such that each player or pair is given a handicap that means each player or pair has an equal chance of winning.
The “Senior 50/Over” events are open to adult players (inc full midweek) born 1973 or earlier.

So it is a great way of all members taking part and potentially getting through to the historic ELTC Finals Day which has been run since 1884.
This year the Finals Day is on Saturday 22nd July.

We will be looking for Volunteer Umpires this year for all our Finals day matches so there is a chance for everyone to get involved.

If anyone needs a partner for any of the doubles events the tournament committee can attempt to arrange this.

Please note an event needs a minimum of 4 entries to go ahead.

Players may enter a maximum of 4 events. Players may only enter 1 of the Open Mixed Doubles or Restricted Mixed Doubles tournament.

There will be no compulsory days this year.

If you have any queries please ask fellow members who have played in the tournament before or email the tournament committee at eltctournament@gmail.com

Finally, Juniors please note that the junior tournament will again take place in September.

Your Tournament Committee.
